Pineapple Mule

While a classic Moscow Mule merges fiery ginger beer with vodka and lime, the Captain’s given this drink a tropical spin with the sweet spice of his Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum and a cheeky splash of pineapple juice.

A sublime drink to enjoy while you put your boots up on the sand, you’ll find the Captain’s Pineapple Mule is easy to make and is delicious with a refreshing taste. The original was mixed in a trendy bar in Manhattan, but the Captain prefers to create his own version with pineapple juice outdoors in the shade of a Caribbean palm.

Serve up your Pineapple Mule cocktail in a copper drinking vessel for a more traditional twist. Definitely best served iced cold.

What you'll need

For one serving

  • 1.5 ozCaptain Morgan Original Spiced Rum
  • 3 ozGinger beer or ginger ale
  • 1.5 ozPineapple Juice
  • 1 Lime wedge
  • 1 GlassfulIce

Method

  1. Fill up a tankard with plenty of ice cubes.

  2. Pour in the Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum.

  3. Add in your favourite ginger beer or ale and the pineapple juice. Stir well.

  4. Garnish with a wedge of lime.
